Welcome To BCS Tennis
This is your site for tennis in the Brazos Valley! We wouldn't be here without the help of our sponsors. Check them out and let them provide for all your tennis needs!
Calling all Netters! The BCSTA Needs You!
Help us start 2007 strong! Men's and Women's League play starts in February.
Sign up now!
What On Sundays in February and March, two pioneer adult leagues will be playing. Each team will consist of three doubles lines (i.e. six players) and optional alternates. The lines will be built around USTA ratings, but USTA MEMBERSHIP IS NOT REQUIRED. For Men, each team will consist of a 3.5 line, a 4.0 line and a 4.5 line. Women's lines will be a half-point lower (3.0, 3.5 and 4.0).
Because this league is LOCAL, not USTA, anyone that wants to improve or be challenged may decide to play a half-point higher than their current rating.
Who We've tentatively identified some tennis hotspots around town: three clubs (Pebble Creek, Miramont and Aerofit) Texas A&M, and the public courts in Bryan and College Station. We're thinking of forming the teams based on where members like to play, so when you sign up let us know which "team" you'd like to be a part of. Doubles teams of two that sign up together will be kept together. We'll take care of team-forming and scheduling. You take care of the fun!
How much Only $15 per person, no BSCTA or USTA membership required! We hope to get 6 weeks of team matches scheduled, but if response is strong, there could be more!
Where Local "home courts" are still being discussed, but we'll have more information here as it arrives.
When Signups continue through Sunday, February 11, 2007. Play begins on Sundays starting February 18. We expect that matches will start at 4pm.
Why We all love tennis. Your BCSTA is "digging deep" to commit to the local tennis scene. Now we need local players of all levels to prove that the area deserves its reputation as a tennis hotbed.
